Welcome to South Boston

South Boston is a densely populated area of Boston located between Fort Point Channel and Dorchester Bay. Commonly known as “Southie,” it historically was known as an Irish community abundant with triple-deckers lining both east and west sides. Broadway Street is the main thoroughfare that will take you from the border of the South End all the way to Castle Island Park and Carson Beach along Boston’s beautiful harbor.

In modern-day Southie, there is much building and gentrification going on. New developments, rehabilitation of existing inventory, and the emergence of “The Seaport District” along the wharves have caused South Boston to be among one of the hottest spots these days. New towers currently being erected along the water coupled with restaurants, parks, and shopping are making for a prime location to live with ease of accessibility to downtown Boston.
